l0ng time since i last posted. it's now week 6 and i'm posting. hmm. the homework's still heavy. so this'll be a quick post.
B Div Rugby season has started. we played our first match against northbrooks on monday.won 15-10. very close match. tackling was good. setplay perfect. the only problem was the finishing. according to coach, in his own words, it was 'atrocious'.
we scored a try. failed to convert. 5-0
northbrooks had a penalty. 5-3.
northbrooks broke through our defence and scores a try right in the middle. converts. morale at a low. 5-10
we were in their 22. mark opts to go blind. sprints and jinxed his way to a try. but fails to convert. crisis not over.10-10
sean poh crashes through their wall of defence from the 5m line. try. not converted. 15-10
final whistle.
so it was pretty disastrous for us, it being the first match of the season. we wanted a good start. both the fathers of dinesh and mattheus have come down to give us a talk to boost morale. and while monday's match was horrible, we promise tomorrow's one to be a stark contrast.
friday.10 feb. SJI vs Springfield.
we're gonna whack them left,right and centre.
not to mention inside out, upside down.
