ok.

SJI vs French School Singapore
yesterday.
it was supposed to be a sec 1 match actually, to give them exposure and some match experience. had a bus which brought us there from school. when we saw the school we were all like 'WAH!'. beautiful building man.

then while walking in this really tall french guy like a head taller stopped to ask us if we were there for rugby. and he was really __ well, don't know how to put it, but we were still in a kind of daze.

the french are pretty friendly. left a good impression yesterday. they had this library which was like 4 storeys high? and the classrooms were all glass windows. as in. you could look out from the aircon room. sweet.

the toilets had and extension, which was their changing room. oh ya. before the match we saw this group of young kids like 4 + years old only. and the 6 of them were split into two teams.red and blue. and we were like comparing them to man united vs chelsea. so if red no. 7 had the ball, we would commentate 'and ronaldo has the ball. he's trying to curl it in. will he....' you get the idea. they were damn cute, if their teammate scores. the rest would start jumping and hugging each other. one even sat on his teammate! ahahs. really cute la.

i guess the french team is okay. we beat them in the firs match pretty easily. but thats because we put in some sec2s and their team were all younger than us. so we put in almost all the sec 1s in the 2nd match. and we played horribly. nabhan was saying that the sec 1s had no hope next year. but all i could say was. probably they'll be like us, late bloomers. who perform when the time comes la. hopefully.
we won the second one thru a mere 2 points la.

the french were super sporting. we whacked them so hard in the game but when it was over, they were all smiling and happy and 'oh forget it , great game.' they enjoyed themselves totally. and i was only too glad to offer my email address to them.

made some new friends. late for carolling prac, but who cares, it was a fantastic day.
